Todd Adamczyk will be coaching his 2nd season at Hebron. The team will compete in the PCC and Northwest Indiana Soccer Conference. The boys opened the season with a 3-1 win over Washington twp. Matt Shrum had a goal and 2 assists, Nathan Peters had a goal and an assist, Alex Shrum 1 goal, and Joe Moser had 2 saves. The team lost a heartbreaker against Kouts 3-4 on penalty kicks. The game was 0-0 through regulation and overtime. In the loss to Lowell, Nathan Peters scored a goal on a Matt Shrum assist. Joe Moser had 18 saves and Jake Straka had 2 saves. click here for stats through 3 games The boys dropped two games to Covenant Christian and Boone Grove. click here for stats through 5 games The team got on the scoreboard after being shutout in the previous 2 games. Nathan Young scored on an assist from Nick Alsop. The boys lost the game to Bishop Noll 8-1. click here for stats through 6 games The team lost to Hanover Central 5-0. WINIMAC TOURNEY RUNNER-UP The boys beat Rochester on penalty kicks after a 0-0 tie in regulation to advance to the championship game. Nick Alsop, Alex Shrum, and Matt Shrum all scored on penalty kicks, while Joe Moser had 4 saves and added another in the penatly kicks. Against Winimac in the final, Hebron lost 2-1. Matt Shrum had a goal and Joe Moser had 11 saves. click here for stats through 11 games The team beat Westville 6-2 behind 2 goals from Nick Alsop and Alex Shrum. Matt Shrum and Zack Sprouse each added a goal. Joe Moser had 10 saves. The game ended the NISC conference season for the team. The boys finished 1-6 in the conference for 7th place. The boys dropped a close game to Morgan twp 3-4 to finish their PCC season. The team finished in 5th place at 1-4. Nick Alsop had 2 goals for the 2nd straight game, while Matt Shrum added a goal and 2 assists. Joe Moser had 8 saves. click here for stats through 13 games The team beat Rensselaer 3-2. Nick Alsop continued his hot streak with his 3rd 2 goal game in a row. Nick also added and assist. Jon Wallace had a goal, Matt Shrum 1 assist, Nathan Peters 1 assist and Joe Moser 11 saves. The team tied last year's record with 4 wins. Nathan Young scored 3 goals and Jake Straka added the other goal. Matt Shrum, Alex Shrum, and Tyler Keehn each had an assist and Joe Moser had 4 saves. click here for stats through 16 games The team dropped their game against Rensselaer in the sectional to end the season. The team finished with a 5-12 record. MATT SHRUM NAMED PCC MENTAL ATTITUDE AWARD WINNER Matt Shrum became the first Hebron boy to win the PCC mental attitude award for soccer. Joe Moser was named to the PCC all-conference team. Matt Shrum made 1st team all-conference in the NISC, Jake Straka made 2nd team all-conference in the NISC, Nick Alsop honorable mention in NISC. Matt Shrum and Elyboy Ronquillo both made academic all-conference in the NISC.
