Jim Schmidt will be coaching his 5th season at Hebron. the team will compete in the Northwest Indiana Soccer Conference for the 3rd year. The girls opened the season with a 7-2 win over Hammond Clark. Katy Schmidt scored 4 goals and had 2 assists, Erica Pauer added 2 goals and 2 assists, Sam Lewis had a goal, and Rachel McCullough had an assist. Paige Hickenbottom had 4 saves in goal. The team dropped their NISC opener against Wheeler in overtime. The girls got their 1st shutout of the season beating Rensselaer 1-0. Paige Hickenbottom had 3 saves while Rachel McCullough scored the only goal of the game from a Dani Heath assist. The team lost to Boone Grove 0-3. The girls handed Hanover Central their first loss of the season with a 2-1 win. The girls defeated Hammond Gavit 4-1. Erica Pauer had 2 goals, Paige Hickenbottom 1 goal, and Rachel McCullough 1 goal. The team scored 6 goals against Culver to win 6-2. Paige Hickenbottom scored 4 goals and Erica Pauer added 2 goals. Katy Schmidt had 2 assists and Kaylie Asher had 5 saves. The girls beat Hammond High 4-1. Katy Schmidt had 3 goals and an assist. Paige Hickenbottom added 1 goal and 1 assist and Kaylie Asher had 5 saves. Paige Hickenbottom scored a goal in a 6-1 loss to Griffith. Kaylie Asher had 13 saves. The girls beat Westville 7-2. Erica Pauer had 2 goals, Sam Lewis 1 goal, Katy Schmidt 1 goal and 3 assists, Paige Hickenbottom 1 goal, Rachel McCullough 1 goal, Brittany Largent 1 goal and Kaylie Asher 2 saves. NEW WIN RECORD!!! The win over Westville was the team's 7th of the season. The girls won 6 games in 2006 and 2007 for the previous high mark for the program. The girls lost to Lowell 2-1. Kaylie Asher had 10 saves and Kaitlyn Sauer scored a goal. The team lost to Michigan City Marquette in an overtime shootout 1-4. The girls finished the NISC season with a 2-5 record for 6th place. The girls lost to Wheeler in the sectional 3-0. NISC ALL-CONFERENCE Katy Schmidt and Alex Lau were named NISC first team all-conference. Erica Pauer made 2nd team and Rachel McCullough was honorable mention. Erica Pauer and Alex Lau were named to the academic all-conference team.
