Kelly Dickensheets is coaching her 18th girls varsity season. The girls opened the season with a win over Rensselaer. The team moved to 3-0 with wins over North Newton and West Central. GIRLS GO 3-1 AT O-D TOURNEY Hebron beat Westville, Culver, and Oregon-Davis and lost to Winimac in the Oregon-Davis tournament. Lynn Tokarski led the team with 37 kills and 4 aces on the day. Also for Hebron were Alix Shircliff 27 digs and 6 aces, Lauren Alsop 24 digs, Rachelle Cook 12 kills and 7 digs, Julie Hogg 25 kills and Ashlyn Wheeler 71 assists. The girls raised their record to 7-1 by beating Covenant Christian. Alix Shircliff had 4 aces and 13 digs, Lynn Tokarski had 15 kills, Ashlyn Wheeler 34 assists, Julie Hogg 9 digs, Lauren Alsop 7 kills and Rachelle Cook 7 kills. Hebron dropped their PCC opener to South Central. Ashlyn Wheeler had 25 assists, Alix Shircliff 11 digs 5 kills, Lauren Alsop 10 digs, Lynn Tokarski 12 kills and Julie Hogg 11-11 serving. The girls finished 5th at the Kankakee Valley Invite. Lynn Tokarski had 6 aces and 21 kills, Julie Hogg 2 aces 10 kills, Ashlyn Wheeler 4 aces 55 assists, Rachelle Cook 11 kills 10 digs, Hayley Marshall 17 kills, Alix Shircliff 31 digs 14 kills and Lauren Alsop 19 digs. The team dropped a 5 game match to Wheeler. Ashlyn Wheeler set a new school record with 43 assists. Julie Hogg added 11 kills, 4 aces and 12 digs. Hebron beat Morgan to even their PCC record to 1-1. Lynn Tokarski had 4 aces 7 kills and 4 blocks, Alix Shircliff 3 aces 7 digs, Ashlyn Wheeler 20 assists, Julie Hogg 5 kills, Hayley Marshall 5 kills and Lauren Alsop 4 digs. Lynn Tokarski led the team with 12 kills in a win over Hanover. Julie Hogg 9 kills 2 aces, Hayley Marshall 7 kills 5 aces, Ashlyn Wheeler 37 assists and Lauren Alsop 11 digs. The girls beat Boone Grove to move to 4-2 in the PCC. Alix Shircliff led the team with 17 kills and 11 digs. Lynn Tokarski 15 kills, Hayley Marshall 8 kills, Ashlyn Wheeler 4 aces 48 assists, Julie Hogg 4 aces, Lauren Alsop 10 digs and Rachael Cook 5 digs. Lynn Tokarski had 22 kills in a win over Kouts. The 22 kills is the 2nd most in a game. Hebron finished 5-2 in the round robin for 3rd place. Julie Hogg added 5 aces, Alix Shircliff 13 kills and 7 digs, Ashlyn Wheeler 46 assists and Hayley Marshall 10 kills. The girls lost in 5 games to South Central in the first round of the PCC tourney. Hayley Marshall had 15 kills, Lynn Tokarski 13 kills, Rachelle Cook 21-21 serving, Ashlyn Wheeler 38 assists. SHIRCLIFF WINS MENTAL ATTITUDE AWARD Alix Shircliff won the Sandra K. Flohr award for mental attitude. Alix is the 6th Hebron girl to win the award. Previous winners were Julie Fisher 1983, Tyann Booker 1992, Trisha Booker 1993, Julie Walker 1994 and Stacy Blank 2008. Hebron finished the regular season with a win over River Forest. Julie Hogg with 7 aces and Lynn Tokarski with 11 kills led the way. The girls ended their season with a loss to North Judson in the first round of the sectional. The team finished with a record of 17-10. TOKARSKI ALL-CONFERENCE Lynn Tokarski was voted #4 in all-conference voting.
