The girls opened the season with a 3-10 loss to Lowell. Erica Pauer went 2-4 at the plate and Emily O'Leary hit a double. Hebron got two hits in the 2-0 loss to Portage. The girls got their first win of the season with a 6-1 win over Hammond Gavit. Carrie Combs got the win. Alyssa Spore was 2-3 with a double and a home run, while Mollie Lindeman added a 3-4 day at the plate with a double. Ashley Spurr (3-4) and Bre Lewin (1-2 2 rbi) also came up big at the plate. The Hawks beat Hobart 12-6. Emily O'Leary was 4-5, Bre Lewin was 3-4, and Alyssa Spore and Erica Pauer added doubles. Mollie Lindeman threw a complete game for the win and added a triple. Ashlyn Wheeler and Emily O'Leary each hit a home run in a 3-0 win over Whiting. Carrie Combs got the shutout win. The girls dropped 1 run games to Chesterton and Hanover Central. Hebron got back in the win column with an 8-0 win over Washington twp. Mollie Lindeman had 12 strikeouts in the shutout win. Erica Pauer, Alyssa Spore, Ashley Spurr and Ashlyn Wheeler all had 2 hits. The girls played in two shutout games, falling to Westville 4-0 and beating North Judson 12-0 The team fell to 1-2 in the PCC with a 5-4 loss to LaCrosse. Carrie struckout 10 while Laura MacNeill was 3-4 at the plate. The team evened their record at 6-6 with a win over North White. Mollie Lindeman struckout 10 to pick up the win, while Audrey Sutherland was 3-3 with a triple. Hebron beat Boone Grove 7-2 in PCC action. Carrie Combs and Mollie Lindeman both pitched with Mollie getting the win in relief. Mollie was also 3-4 and Erica Pauer scored 3 runs. click here for stats through 13 games The girls raised their PCC record to 3-2 with a 5 inning win over Morgan twp 12-2. Alyssa Spore hit a grand slam and Emily O'Leary and Ashley Spurr added home runs. The team beat Kouts to move to 4-2 in the conference. Mollie Lindeman was 3-4 with a double and a grand slam. Hebron lost 5-2 to Wheeler in 8 innings. Mollie Lindeman was 2-4 with a double. The team has a record of 10-8. click here for stats through 15 games Hebron beat North Newton 8-6. Alyssa Spore and Mollie Lindeman each were 2-4 at the plate. Spore hit a triple, Ashlyn Wheeler doubled, Emily O'Leary had 2 rbi's and Carrie Combs got the win. The girls lost to Bishop Noll 7-0. Emily O'Leary had a double in the game. Hebron beat South Central in the opening round of the PCC tourney 15-5. Audrey Sutherland doubled twice in the 9-run 4th inning. Mollie Lindeman was 3-5, Emily O'Leary 3-4 2 rbi's, Ashlyn Wheeler 2-2, and Laura MacNeill was 2-3. Mollie Lindeman got the win in relief. The team beat Morgan 14-1 in the semi-finals of the PCC tourney. Mollie Lindeman (3-4, 3 rbi's) and Audrey Sutherland (2-3, 2 rbi's, 3 runs) each doubled twice. Carrie Combs got the win and Emily O'Leary also hit a double. The girls played in the PCC tourney championship game for only the 2nd time in the 14 year history of softball as a PCC sport. Hebron won the championship in 2006. The team lost to Hanover Central 12-0 in the final. Alyssa Spore doubled for the Hawks. Hebron is 12-9 on the season. Hebron lost to South Central 7-2 to finsish the PCC round robin at 4-3. The team finished 3rd in the PCC standings. The girls are currently 12-10. The team beat Rensselaer to finish the regular season with a 13-10 record. Alyssa Spore scored 3 times and Carrie Combs had 2 hits. click here for stats through 23 games LINDEMAN, COMBS, O'LEARY MAKE ALL-CONFERENCE Hebron placed 3 players on the PCC all-conference team. Mollie Lindeman was voted 4th, Carrie Combs 12th, and Emily O'Leary tied for 15th. NO-HITTER FOR HEBRON Carrie Combs and Mollie Lindeman combined to pitch a no-hitter in the sectional opener against North Judson. Hebron won 10-0 with Emily O'Leary going 2-3 with a triple and 3 rbi's. The no-hitter is the 8th in the history of the program. SECTIONAL CHAMPIONS!!! Hebron won its 2nd sectional championship by beating Boone Grove 1-0. Carrie Combs and Mollie Lindeman combined on the shutout. The team ended the season with a 5-2 loss to Wheeler in the regional.
