Stephanie Schulte is coaching her 3rd girls varsity season. 

This is the 53rd recorded season of girls varsity basketball at Hebron.  The first season was 1920-21, the girls also played the following year.  The girls then played from 1927-1938.  Basketball at Hebron resumed in 1973-74 to the present.

The girls opened the season with a 50-20 win over Covenant Christian.  Christy Reick and Lauren Carlson each had 13 points to lead the team.  Rylie Shrum had 8 rebounds and Christy and Emily DeFries each had 5 assists.

Bre Lewin led the team with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals in a 49-54 loss to Wheeler.  Christy Reick added 12 pts, 6 rebounds, 6 steals and 6 assists.  Rylie Shrum and Lauren Carlson each had 10.  Rylie added 8 rebounds.

Hebron opened PCC play with a 63-45 win over Washington twp.  Bre Lewin led the Hawks with 22 points and 8 rebounds, followed by Christy Reick 15 points and 8 assists and Emily DeFries with 10.  Rylie Shrum led the team with 10 rebounds.  Rylie Shrum scored her 100th career point in the game.

The girls evened their record with a loss to Boone Grove.  Bre Lewin had 7 points and Christy Reick and Rylie Shrum each added 5.  Christy has moved up 7 spots this season to 39th on Hebron's career scoring list.

The team picked up a big win over Morgan twp 44-41 to move to 2-1 in the PCC and 3-2 overall.  Christy Reick led the team with 16 points.  Christy is the 38th player to reach 300 career points at Hebron.

The girls lost to Griffith 41-23.  Madison Bell led the team with 8 points followed by Bre Lewin with 5.

Hebron fell to 2-2 in the conference with a loss to Hanover.  Christy Reick led the team with 9 points and 3 steals.

The girls improved to 3-2 in the PCC with a win over LaCrosse.  Rylie Shrum had 9 points and 13 rebounds.  Lauren Carlson had 8 points and 7 rebounds and Anneliese Kieper had 6 points and 8 rebounds as Hebron's post players led the team.

Hebron fell to 3-3 in the PCC with a 40-52 loss to Kouts.  Lauren Carlson led the team with 12 points.  Rylie Shrum and Christy Reick added 9 each.

31st SOUTH COUNTY TOURNAMENT

The girls lost to Morgan in the opening round of the south county tourney.  Emily DeFries scored 8 points to lead the team.

Bre Lewin had 13 to lead Hebron in the consolation game against Kouts.  Christy Reick added 9 points.  Lauren Carlson got her 100th career point in the game. 

PLAYERS REACHING CAREER MILESTONES

Senior Christy Reick is moving up the career leader boards in several categories.  Christy is 15th in steals, 22nd in assists, 35th in 2 point field goals made, 18th in free throws made and 30th in 3 point field goals made.  Junior Bre Lewin has reached the top 50 in career steals and is also 37th in career 3 point field goals made.  Junior Emily DeFries is 32nd in 3 point field goals made.  Freshman Madison Bell is 30th in 3 point field goals made.

The girls got back into the win column with a 33-32 win over Andrean.  Bre Lewin led the team with 10 points.  Bre also went over the 100 point mark for her career.  Christy Reick followed with 8 points and is now in 30th place on the career scoring list.

Bre Lewin exploded for a career high 28 points and 7 steals in a 61-52 win over South Central.  The girls finished the PCC round robin with a 4-3 record and are now 6-7 on the season.  Christy Reick added 10 points and 7 assists and Lauren Carlson had 6 points.

Christy Reick led the team with 13 points and 8 assists in a loss to KV.  Bre Lewin (10 pts), Lauren Carlson (9 pts) and Emily DeFries (8 pts) followed Christy in the scoring column.

Hebron beat River Forest to go into the PCC tourney with a 7-8 record.   Bre Lewin had 18 and Christy Reick 10 to lead the team.

The girls lost to Kouts in the PCC  tourney.  Christy Reick had 18 points to lead the team and moved into the top 25 (24th 409 points) in career scoring.  Christy also had and 5 assists to put her into the top 10 in career assists with 123.

REICK, DOLD AWARD WINNER

Senior Christy Reick won the coveted James W. Dold award for mental attitude.  Christy is the 3rd Hebron girl to win the award.  Lauren Bechtold (2001-02) and Molly Marshall (2008-09) were the other two to win the award.  James W. Dold was the principal at Washington twp and was not only a founding father of the PCC, he was also very instrumental in the formation of girls athletics in the state of Indiana.

Hebron lost to West Central.  Bre Lewin and Christy Reick led the scoring with 9 points each.

The girls beat Rennselaer 47-46.  Rylie Shrum made the winning basket late in the game.  Bre Lewin led the Hawks with 18 points and 7 steals.

The team ended the regular season with a loss to Lowell.  Christy Reick and Lauren Carlson each had 8 points to lead the team.  Hebron's record is 8-11 headed into the sectional.

The girls lost to Rochester to end the season 8-12.

REICK ALL-CONFERENCE

Senior Christy Reick was voted to the all-conference team for the 2nd year.

ACADEMIC ALL-STATE

Christy Reick was named to the Academic All-State 1st team.  Anneliese Kieper and Rachel McCullough were listed as honorable mention.
