John Steinhilber is coaching his fourth season at Hebron.

This is the 100th season of boys varsity basketball at Hebron.  Hebron started playing boys basketball during the 1914-15 school year.  The program has 1162 recorded wins and 871 losses for a .572 winning percentage.

Hebron opened the season with a 52-34 win over Covenant Christian.  Bryce Hanaway led the team with 20 points and 7 assists.  Spencer Sutherland added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Bryce scored his 100th career point in the game.

The boys lost to Kouts to open up PCC play 58-45.  Tony Rose had 23 points 8 rebounds and 4 steals to lead the team.  Spencer Sutherland added 9 points and 9 rebounds and Bryce Hanaway had 10 assists.  Tony scored his 200th career point in the game.

Hebron lost to Wheeler 58-53.  Bryce Hanaway had 22 points, including 4 3-pointers, and 7 assists.  Tony Rose added 19 points.  Bryce moved into 30th place on the career 3-pointer list.

The team beat Victory Christian 67-41 to even their record to 2-2.  Spencer Sutherland led the team with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.  Ryan Daniel added 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Tony Rose had 12 points and 9 rebounds and Bryce Hanaway had 10 points.  Zac Hernandez had 6 steals and Ryan Schmidt had 5 assists.

Hebron beat LaCrosse 66-53 behind Bryce Hanaway's 27 points and 6 assists.  Spencer Sutherland had 16 points and 15 rebounds and Tony Rose added 11 points.

The boys beat Morgan 44-42 to raise their PCC record to 2-1.  Spencer Sutherland got an offensive rebound and game-winning basket with a couple seconds left in the game.  Spencer finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds.  Bryce Hanaway led the team with 17 points and 4 assists.

The team beat North Newton 47-24.  Bryce Hanaway had 13 points and 6 assists and Tony Rose had 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Spencer Sutherland had 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.  Bryce scored his 200th career point in the game.

Hebron beat South Central 52-45 for their 5th straight win to up their record to 6-2 and 3-1 in the PCC.  Tony Rose had 16 points and Drew Wheeler added 13 points and 7 rebounds.  Bryce Hanaway added 12 points and 7 assists. 

The boys lost to Lake Station 65-59.  Bryce Hanaway led the team with 20 points and 7 assists.  Ryan Daniel had 10 points and 13 rebounds.  Tony Rose had 14 points.  Drew Wheeler had 13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals and 3 assists.

HAWKS ADVANCE TO PCC SEMI-FINALS

Hebron beat LaCrosse 58-57 in the 1st round of the PCC tourney.  Drew Wheeler led the Hawks with 26 points and 4 steals.  Tony Rose had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Bryce Hanaway added 13 points and 5 assists.  Tony scored his 300th career point in the game and Spencer Sutherland scored his 100th career point in the game.  Drew scored 18 points in the 1st quarter, only 1 behind the record of 19 points in a quarter set by Mark Brown (89-90) and Damon Wallace (11-12).  Drew also had 24 points in the 1st half, only 4 behind the record of 28 points in a half set by Bob Smock (63-64) and Mike Hofferth (69-70).

The boys beat Morgan 49-48 in the semi-finals of the PCC tourney.  Drew Wheeler, Bryce Hanaway and Spencer Sutherland each had 13 points to lead the team.  Spencer added 10 rebounds and Bryce and Drew had 2 assists each.  Drew scored his 100th career point in the game.

PCC CHAMPIONS

Hebron beat Westville 69-65 to win the PCC tourney for the 19th time in school history.  Bryce Hanaway led 4 Hebron players in double figures with 22 points.  Spencer Sutherland added 14 points and 11 rebounds, Donovan Friel had 14 points and 5 assists and Tony Rose added 10 points.  1989 Hebron graduate Rob Walker is the coach at Westville.

The boys beat North Judson 47-46.  Tony Rose scored 17 points.  Spencer Sutherland and Donovan Friel each scored 10 points.

Hebron beat Hammond Clark 67-58.  Bryce Hanaway led the team with 21 points, 8 assists and 4 steals.  Tony Rose had 16 points and 8 rebounds and Donovan Friel added 14 points and 7 rebounds.  Spencer Sutherland had 8 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.

The Hawks lost to Washington twp. 64-49 to drop to 3-2 in the PCC and 11-4 overall.  Tony Rose and Drew Wheeler each had 12 points to lead the team.

ROSE BREAKS SINGLE SEASON CHARGE RECORD

Hebron lost to Kankakee Valley 40-36.  Donovan Friel had 13 points to lead the team.  Bryce Hanaway had 8 assists and Spencer Sutherland had 9 rebounds.  Tony Rose took his 14th charge of the season to break Hebron's single season record.  Josh Spinks (1992) and Tyler Crouch (2011) had the record of 13.

The boys lost to Boone Grove 58-47 to drop their PCC record to 3-3.  Tony Rose led the team with 19 points and Bryce Hanaway added 12 points and 7 assists.  Spencer Sutherland had 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.

Hebron lost to Lowell 60-49.  Donovan Friel had 15 points followed by Tony Rose with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Spencer Sutherland with 10 points.  Donovan Friel scored his 100th career point in the game.  Bryce Hanaway had 13 assists in the game.  13 assists is the 4th most in a single game in Hebron basketball history.  Pat Murphy (1973) and Joe Gericke (1976) share the record with 16.  Sean Bell (1985) has the 2nd most with 15.  Jeff Patz (1980) and Dana Hernandez (1986) have the 3rd most with 14.  Jeff Patz is also tied with Bryce with 13.

The boys lost to Rensselaer 51-38.  Tony Rose led the team with 16 points and 8 rebounds and went over the 400 career point mark.  Bryce Hanaway had 11 points, 8 assists and 4 steals.

The team beat Westville 67-63 to finish 4-3 in the PCC.  Tony Rose led the team with 22 points and 10 rebounds.  Bryce Hanaway added 17 points and 8 assists.  Donovan Friel had 13 points and 8 rebounds and Drew Wheeler had 11 points and 8 rebounds.  Spencer Sutherland led the team with 11 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.

Hebron ended the regular season with a 67-50 loss to River Forest.  The team ended the regular season with a 12-9 record.  Tony Rose had 12 points and 8 rebounds and Bryce Hanaway had 10 points and 4 assists.

The boys beat Boone Grove 38-35 in the opening round of the sectional.  Tony Rose led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Spencer Sutherland added 11 rebounds, Drew Wheeler had 8 rebounds and Bryce Hanaway had 6 assists.

Hebron lost to River Forest 47-43.  Bryce Hanaway led the team with 11 points.  Drew Wheeler had 6 assists and Spencer Sutherland had 7 rebounds.  Bryce got his 200th career assist in the game.  The boys finished the season with a 13-10 record.
