As a junior in 2016, Hunter was voted onto the IHSBCA All-State baseball team. Hebron was 21-9 and won the sectional and regional. Hunter had a .446 batting average with 9 home runs, 34 runs batted in and 41 hits.
As a senior in 2017, Hunter led the team to a 29-4 record with PCC round robin, PCC tourney, sectional and regional championships. Hunter set school season records with 10 home runs, 57 runs batted in, a .557 batting average, 1.045 slugging percentage and a .678 on-base percentage. Hunter also had 49 hits and 46 runs scored.
Hunter represented the North team in the IHSBCA All-Star series.
