HAWK CLASSIC
2018-19 TO PRESENT
The Hawk Classic started in the 2018-19 season. The tournament is a holiday tournament, usually held between Christmas and New Years Day. The first tournament included four teams. The following year, 2019-20, the tournament expanded to 6 teams. In 2020-21, the tournament expanded to 8 teams and was held at both Hebron and Boone Grove. The name was changed to the Red and Blue Classic. River Forest withdrew right before the 2021-22 tournament and the schedule was re-arranged with Boone Grove's JV team playing a game in the position round. Starting in 2022-23 and moving forward, the tournament returned to a four team tournament held exclusively at Hebron and the name was changed back to the Hawk Classic. Hebron and South Bend Career Academy have competed in every tournament.
