Mike DeFries will be coaching his 5th season at Hebron.  In 3 seasons as coach the team has gone 36-6 overall and 28-0 in the PCC.

The girls are the 4-time defending PCC round robin champions and the 3-time defending PCC meet champions.  The team has also won 28 consecutive PCC round robin meets.  Hebron is also the defending sectional champion.

The team started the season at the KV Hokum Karem.  Jordan Hanaway and Emily DeFries teamed up to win the race in a school record 41:05.  Laura MacNeill and Christy Reick finished 2nd in 41:47.

NORTH WHITE INVITE CHAMPIONS

The girls won the North White Invitational for the 4th time in school history.  Jordan Hanaway finished 2nd with the 2nd fastest time in school history for this meet.  Following Jordan were Natalie Kaczmarski (8th), Laura MacNeill (9th), Christy Reick (13th), and Emily DeFries (21st).

The team finished 2nd at the Valpo invite.  Jordan Hanaway finished 4th and Laura MacNeill finished 10th.  Jordan set a new Hebron record in the meet finishing in 20:55, beating the old record (22:05) by over a minute.

HAMMOND GAVIT INVITE CHAMPIONS

The girls had 5 runners in the top 11 to win the meet.  Jordan Hanaway led the way in 2nd place followed by Laura MacNeill 5th, Christy Reick 9th, Natalie Kaczmarski 10th and Emily DeFries 11th.

The team beat Lowell 18-43.  Jordan Hanaway won the race in a time of 20:30.  Christy Reick 2nd, Laura MacNeill 3rd, Emily DeFries 5th, Natalie Kaczmarski 7th and Lexi Schatz 10th followed in the top 10.

The girls opened the PCC season with wins over Kouts and Hanover Central to extend their unbeaten PCC streak to 30 meets.  Jordan Hanaway won the race with a time of 20:07, followed by Christy Reick 3rd, Laura MacNeill 4th, Natalie Kaczmarski 6th, Emily DeFries 7th, Lexi Schatz 9th and Bre Lewin 10th.

BOB THOMAS INVITE CHAMPIONS

The team won another invite by scoring 65 points at the Lowell Bob Thomas Invitational.  Jordan Hanaway ran her first sub 20 minute time by finishing in 19:44 and finished 3rd.  Laura MacNeill 11th, Natalie Kaczmarski 12th and Christy Reick 16th also finished in the top 20.

Hebron beat LaCrosse by having the top 8 finishers and 9 of the top 10.  Jordan Hanaway won the race followed by MacNeill 2nd, Reick 3rd, DeFries 4th, Kaczmarski 5th, Hamann 6th, Lazzaroni 7th, Lewin 8th, Schatz 9th and Gonzalez 10th.

NEW PRAIRIE CHAMPS

The girls won the New Prairie Invitational by 2 points over Tri-County.  The championship is the 2nd for Hebron.  Jordan Hanaway led the way in 4th followed by Laura MacNeill 12th and Natalie Kaczmarski 20th.

The girls ran their unbeaten PCC round robin win streak to 33 meets with wins over Morgan and Washington.  Jordan won the race followed by Laura 2nd, Christy 3rd, Natalie 4th, Emily 5th, Lexie 6th, Bre 8th and Charity 9th.

The team finished 2nd at Highland.  Jordan finished 4th.  Natalie 16th and Laura 19th were also in the top 20.  Jordan set a new Hebron course record with a time of 19:10.

HIGHLAND INVITE RESERVE RACE CHAMPIONS

Charity Gonzalez won the Reserve race to lead Hebron to the championship.  Allison Lewis 3rd, Theresa Lazzaroni 7th, Emma Hamann 8th, Hope Bontempo 9th, Krysten Wielgus 11th and Katie Clemens 17th followed for the team.

Hebron's PCC round robin win streak went to 34 meets with a win over an incomplete South Central team but ended with a 28-29 loss to Boone Grove.  The win streak was 2nd only to Hanover Central's run of 40 consecutive meets from 1993-1997.  Jordan set a new Hebron course record in the meet (19:12).

2nd in PCC meet, 6 make all-conference

The girls finished 2nd by 1 point in the PCC meet.  The team mathced the 2008 team with 6 runners making all-conference.  Jordan Hanaway finished 2nd in the meet and has made all-conference for the 4th time.  Laura MacNeill finished 8th and has also made all-conference for 4 years.  Also making all-conference were Emily Defries 9th, Christy Reick 10th, Natalie Kaczmarski 13th and Charity Gonzalez 15th. Allison Lewis defended her reserve race individual championship and is the 6th Hebron champion of this race.

Allson Lewis finished 10th and led Hebron in a 4 way meet.  The girls lost to KV and beat Rensselaer and North Judson.  The team finished with a record of 9-2 overall and 6-1 in the PCC.

The team finished 2nd in the Rensselaer sectional with 61 points.  Jordan finished 2nd with a time of 19:50 to set a new Hebron sectional record time.  Laura also was in the top 10 finishing in 9th place.

Hebron finished 8th at the New Prairie regional with 160 points.  Jordan Hanaway finished 7th in the race to advance to the semi-state.

Jordan finished 18th in a time of 19:21 in the New Prairie semi-state.  Jordan set a new Hebron time record in the meet.
