Mike DeFries will be coaching his 6th season at Hebron. The girls finished in 2nd place in the PCC round robin and the PCC meet last season. The team also advanced to the regional. The team started the season at the KV Hokum Karem. Liz Fox and Lexi Schatz teamed up to win the race in 41:44. NORTH WHITE INVITE CHAMPS Natalie Kaczmarski ran a 21:17 and finished 5th to lead the team to the title. Natalie's time was the 5th fastest in school history. Liz Fox was 9th (21:25, 6th fastest) and Emily DeFries was 14th (21:50, 9th fastest). The girls finished 2nd in the Valpo Invite at Sunset Hill. Natalie Kaczmarski finished 5th and Liz Fox finished 10th. GAVIT INVITE CHAMPIONS The team won the Hammond Gavit Invitational for the 3rd consecutive year and 5th time overall. Natalie Kaczmarski led the team with a 3rd place finish. Emily Defries (8th), Liz Fox (9th) and Lexi Schatz (10th) were also in the top 10 for Hebron. Hebron beat Lowell behind a 3rd place finish by Liz Fox (22:43). Liz was followed by Abby Getautas (4th 22:56), Natalie Kaczmarski (5th 23:03), Emily DeFries (6th 23:09), Christy Reick (7th 23:32) and Lexi Schatz (10th 24:37). The girls opened the PCC round robin schedule by beating Boone Grove and South Central to start a new winning streak. Boone Grove ended Hebron's 34 PCC meet win streak last season. The streak was 2nd in PCC history behind Hanover Central's run of 40 straight (1993-1997).
