Girls softball was added to the Porter Country Conference in the spring of the 1996-97 school year.

The round robin championship and PCC tourney have been held every year.

Girls softball is an IHSAA four class sport.

The All-Conference team is made up of the top vote getters, voted on by the PCC coaches.

A mental attitude award has been given out since 1997.
